First I learned how to search for academic journals in the format of (Egypt and Globalization) for example. Second, I didn’t know that when searching in search engines I can use the – to discard a topic I don’t want if there is more than one meaning for the word. Third, I got a more idea on MLA citation although I feel I need to work on that more. What I like about blogging is that it’s very simple to use and that it separates each entry alone, thus I can edit any entry I like. What I don’t like about blogging is that there are too few formatting tools, thus sometimes I have to write on MS word and then copy to the blog; also, at times when I post an entry I find spaces between words which I haven’t made. Finally, I think it’s an interesting course, and I like the instructor’s lively (friendly) way of teaching.

Comparison:

The second database is easier to use because it provides a range of broad subjects which you can choose from; however, the subjects section in the first database are specific ones which might not give the results I’m searching for. The second database is better for quick research since it is broad, while the second one is suitable for an in depth resource becauce it’s the subjects are more specialized. Finally, I would use the second instead of the firstwhen my research topic is not to the results in the first since they are very focused on certain issues.

4) “Africa Development Indicators Online (World Bank)” & “Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) Country Reports & Profiles” because the first has over 1,400 development indicators and time series from 1965 for 53 countries; so we can see in what way globalization affected development in Egypt. The second provides analysis and forecasts of the political, economic, and business environment in many Middle Eastern countries, so we can see whether globalization had an affect on any of these fields or not.
